Head baker • Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a head baker in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. The role involves score the top of loaves before baking; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch. Requirements: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Full-time with occasional weekends.
