The role involves braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; clean condenser and evaporator coils; replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
