Steel erection rigger — Linn County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Linn County, Kansas. You will work at a container port. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Confident with standard crane hand signals Day-to-day duties: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
