Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Putnam County, Tennessee. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Day to day you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; read lift plans and method statements before starting; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift.
