Great opportunity: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Smith County, Tennessee. Day-to-day duties: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
