We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Chase County, Kansas. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Your main tasks: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
