Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Full-time with occasional weekends.
