Now hiring: we are hiring an incoming goods inspector in Stark County, Illinois. You should have: • Familiar with ISO 9001 quality systems • ITI or diploma in a mechanical or production trade • Confident using vernier callipers, micrometers and gauges Day-to-day duties: • Check visually for scratches, dents, burrs and colour variation • Carry out first-article and in-process checks on the production line • Check packaging, labelling and barcode accuracy before dispatch • Escalate recurring defects to the line supervisor or QA engineer • Draw samples from batches according to AQL sampling plans • Inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
