Great opportunity: foundry operative (Texas)

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Burnet County, Texas. The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $5,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
