Pressman wanted in Cortland County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pressman in Cortland County, New York. You will work in a tailoring workshop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment The role involves: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Rotating shifts.
