Great opportunity: argon welder (New Mexico)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Valencia County, New Mexico. On the job you will handle: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
