Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Cobb County, Georgia. The job is at a power plant. Day to day you will select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
