Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry worker in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry You will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
