Immediate opening: garment machinist (Mississippi)

Join our team: we are hiring a garment machinist in Issaquena County, Mississippi. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Day-to-day duties: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $16 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
