Furnace operator wanted in Boone County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Boone County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Full-time with occasional weekends. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
