Steel fixer wanted in New York County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in New York County, New York. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) On the job you will handle: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors Overtime paid at a premium rate.
