Join our team: we are hiring a retail butcher in Story County, Iowa. You will be based at a halal meat counter. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers On the job you will handle: • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case 4+ years on the tools preferred.
