Argon welder wanted in Hidalgo County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Hidalgo County, Texas. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On the job you will handle: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
