We are recruiting: steel erection rigger (Kansas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Morris County, Kansas. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather On a typical shift you will rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. $3,250 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
