Great opportunity: we are hiring a TIG welder in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. The role involves: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding 6+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $3,700 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
