Your main tasks: • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
