Vertical milling machine operator • Gonzales County, Texas

Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Gonzales County, Texas. You will work in a toolroom. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade Day-to-day duties: • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
