Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Ikorodu, Lagos State. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces 1+ years on the tools preferred.
