We are recruiting: aluminium TIG welder (North Dakota)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Ward County, North Dakota. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day-to-day duties: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
