Join our team: garment machinist (Colorado)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment machinist in Morgan County, Colorado. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line 4+ years on the tools preferred.
