Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Louisa County, Iowa. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. The role involves: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Requirements: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Six days a week, one day off.
