Now hiring: we are hiring a bread baker in Jefferson County, Tennessee. The job is in a hotel pastry kitchen. Day-to-day duties: • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials You should have: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen 2+ years on the tools preferred.
