Brick and block layer wanted in La Crosse County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick and block layer in La Crosse County, Wisconsin. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Your main tasks: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays Part-time with flexible hours.
