Pipe TIG welder wanted in Carbon County

Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day to day you will select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Pay around $160 per day, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
