Great opportunity: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Inyo County, California. On a typical shift you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. Requirements: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day 2+ years on the tools preferred.
