Core maker — City of Williamsburg

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in City of Williamsburg, Virginia. You will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
