Banksman wanted in Humboldt County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Humboldt County, Iowa. You will be based on a high-rise building site. Day-to-day duties: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
