Foundry labourer • Essex County, Vermont

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Essex County, Vermont. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding You will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
