Now hiring: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Brazoria County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Your main tasks: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness 6+ years on the tools preferred.
