Vacancy available: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Alexander County, North Carolina. Ideal candidate: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Valid driving licence for travel between sites Day-to-day duties: • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
