We are recruiting: we are hiring a meat cutter in Macon County, Tennessee. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. On a typical shift you will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking. What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required We offer $3,100 per month plus benefits.
