Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Winston County, Alabama. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On a typical shift you will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Rotating shifts.
