Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Socorro County, New Mexico. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level On the job you will handle: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
