Now hiring: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a busy garment factory. Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines On a typical shift you will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
