Aluminium TIG welder • Perry County, Indiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Perry County, Indiana. You will be based on a structural steel site. Day-to-day duties: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 2+ years on the tools preferred.
