Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Chautauqua County, Kansas. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. On a typical shift you will keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date. You should have: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
