Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania. What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Six days a week, one day off.
