Great opportunity: we are hiring a plasterer's mate in Lea County, New Mexico. The job is on a busy domestic building site. Day-to-day duties: • Polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat • Dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents Full-time, day shift.
