GTAW welder wanted in Pike County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Pike County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day-to-day duties: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols 5+ years on the tools preferred.
