Vacancy available: sand plant operator (Minnesota)

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Kittson County, Minnesota. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills On a typical shift you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Contact us to fix an interview.
