Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Jackson County, Alabama. Day-to-day duties: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
