Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Lamar County, Georgia. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. You will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Six days a week, one day off. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
