Precision welder wanted in Tuscola County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in Tuscola County, Michigan. Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE Your main tasks: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
