Lifting rigger wanted in Arenac County

Join our team: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Arenac County, Michigan. You will be based at a container port. What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day-to-day duties: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
