Heavy equipment operator • Eilean Siar, Scotland

Join our team: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Eilean Siar, Scotland. On the job you will handle: • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines Requirements: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
